For the last decade Unilever has made major efforts to source agricultural raw materials more sustainably. Agricultural crops make up over half the volume of our raw materials, so it's important for us to work closely with our growers, suppliers and retailers to ensure sustainable practices are followed.

Our aim

Unilever's long-term aim is to buy all its agricultural raw materials from sustainable sources, so that:

Farmers and farm workers can obtain an income they can live on and improve their living conditions
Soil fertility is maintained and improved
Water availability and quality are protected and enhanced
Nature and biodiversity are protected and enhanced.
